An instructor in the room is the most effective way we know to teach this material. A student who gets stuck on a lab raises a hand and gets an answer while the error is still on the screen. The instructor sees who is falling behind, slows down, and goes back over a topic before moving on. Our live online classes come close, and we teach a lot of them, but online the instructor sees less of the class and students are easier to distract.
